-I haven't really done a whole bunch today, I went to pick some wallpaper and paint samples with my mum but that's about it...so, I thought this post would be perfect opportunity to photograph this lipstick! The weather is just starting to turn so i'm bringing back the tights (still sheer though..)

-Yesterday I visited an abandoned cinema with the boyf (I don't have an outfit post or anything because we had to wear 'appropriate attire' so I don't think anyones really interested in a t-shirt and jeans) I'll upload the photos soon :-)

2009..What can I say, a lot has happened this year; alot I want to forget but more I want to remember forever. I wont go onto list e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g that has happened this year, but say, I am 100% looking forward to this new year and cannot believe how 2009 flew by so quickly.I never really set 'official' resolutions, more like read a book/write a journal/ eat less sweets, which is usually forgotten about by the second week of January... However, this year I am writing them down and sticking to them !! (well try..ahem.)
1. Stop procrastinating.2. Don't get caught up with guys.3. Start writing. (I've never seen myself as a writer and never really thought I could write ((of my goodness, I just spelt that 'right' instead of 'write'-proven point much?)) but I want to give it ago. My friend Matt and I are going to try and work on a book, or a piece based on the 60s.)4. Get a job.5. Work on my and be more open about social anxiety/insomnia/phobias/panic disorder/obsessive compulsive disorder/etc (I've been asked alot of questions about this on this blog and other places, but have never really felt confident enough to share. So, if there are any questions about anyone of these things/something related to it, or want me to explain my story with these then feel free to ask and i'll do a post on it )
This is all I can really think of at the moment, however, I'm sure i'll be adding to it!

I've got another freakin' cold at the moment, and yesterday I stayed in bed alll day, which reminded me of these photos I saved ages ago (I can't remember where I found them, sorry) and it really made me want to sort my bedroom out and give it a new lick of life, I think I will try and do something with fairy lights/cushions/duvets/etc over christmas :)

PS does anybody know where I can get one of these plastic farm animal masks, I had a sheep one when I was tiny and never took it off, I would die to have this back on my life!

My new favourite coat.

You guys should know that I'm a total fur addict and today I was in Cockfosters, North London and on the way home I passed a Mind charity shop which raises money for mental health research. In the window was this beautiful grey faux fur coat (first picture is its true colour) and I screamed 'OHMYGOD, I HAVE to have it', so I asked my mum if she could stop off anywhere near, and ofcourse, being London, there was literally no where to park. However, we found a little housing estate and my mum sat in the car as i rushed round the corner to the shop. Up close, this coat looks even more special, so soft and thick. I excitedly asked how much it was; £35. I had £32.. I told her not to let anybody else buy it and I ran round the corner to ask my mum if she had any spare change, we literally looked through every pocket of our coats and ever compartment in the car; I found £34.90 all together, the lovely lady let me have it (c'mon 10p's not that much) and told me to enjoy it, which I most definitely will!

I have been soo busy with school work and things for the last few months so I apologize for the lack of post, however, from now on I am going to try to do atleast 1 post A DAY! (I have so many post planned from the last few months so I shall start with those.)

One of the reasons for not posting is I have been busy with my Photography class, here are some photos I have taken under my 'Structures' theme...

I can't believe I havn't blogged in so long, I have been busier than ever recently, but am going to make time for the blog...

Blazer-Sister's, Top- Old from a charity shop, Scarves-Sister's and school, Jeans-h&m from about 3 years ago, shoes-Aldo
Camera is broken, so have to make do with Photobooth pictures...I am SO glad I can finally wear scarves and long sleeves! Winter (well Autumn) is my favourite time of year when it comes to getting dressed, I love layers and coats and gloves and boots etcetcetc And I feel I dress alot better in the colder months. I'm really into the whole wear-more-than-one-scarf thing at the moment so wore a blue one that I stole off my sister and a piece of material I stole from school (the photo shows its un-evenness) but I thought it was too beautiful not to take! I wore a plain gold sequin top with an upside down cardi (which sort of make it look like a cape) and a brown blazer which is also stolen off my sister. However, I ended up taking it off and tied my cardi sleeves round the back to make it even more cape-like, which i LOVE, will deffo be doing this more!

I am in love! I've always loved CKs animal print t shirts (so much so that I actually tried to make one that went horribly horribly wrong! -think, 10 transfer pages sticking to the iron and having to spend money (that couldve gone to the real thing!) on a new iron...oops)

Anyway, my grandfather gave me some money for doing well in my GCSEs and instructed me to spend it on 'something that makes you happy', and this CERTAINLY makes me happy!

Half Asleep or half awake?

I am writing this at 1:30 am, so I apologize in advance for any spelling mistakes/nonsense sentences...

Here is this rest of my costume I wore to my friends 'Oscar's' party (see afew posts down). I went as Marie Antoinette (with abit of an 'edge') from...Marie Antoinette, obviously (oh no, the nonsense has already kicked in) But this is not what I was going to wear originally. I did plan on making a dress to wear, however I never got round to that, so though I could just find any old dress in my wardrobe. For some reason, I could not find anything cream/white/light/Marie Antoinette-ish so was starting to panic, as I had told a bunch of people 'Oh yes, my costume is going to be amazing!' when in reality, I didn't even have a costume sorted!

So my Best friend came to the rescue with HER MUM's WEDDING DRESS! At first, I told her there was no way I could wear the dress, until her Mum came round and literally threw the dress at me, and said I HAD to wear it! It was perfect fit (if a little too long)

I wanted to give it a bit of edge, so added lots of gold, and lots of make up and my big Topshop boots.

I am so glad I did wear the dress in the end, as I got so many compliments about it. However, half way through, I did change into a little white dress, as the wedding dress was BOILING and so so heavy, but i thought it was really amazing and will never get to wear anything as amazing (until my wedding day) again...

Sorry, I have rambled alot here...

I'd never heard of Akillis until I came across and advert in Vogue Paris, which just had 4 bullet rings (top photo) linked together. I instantly fell in love. I knew I had to check out the rest of the collection, but it was impossible to find, but then after alot of google-ing I found their official website and click on Bang Bang I Shot You Down. I wasn't overly thrilled with the rest of the collection and I really did not like the jigsaw puzzle pieces... But I still really love the rings and kind of wish the rest of the collection was as good, also, I really do not like silver jewelry but I reallyreally like these for some reason.

Paris (Day Two)

French PoliceThis was the most AMAZING store I think I've ever been in. It had two floors, on the top it had designer vintage shoes (Chanel, Christian LaCroix, Dior, Versace, Miu Miu, Christian Louboutin, you name it, they had it), Chanel Suits, vintage designer bags, one lady bought 2 Gucci bags, a Chanel bag and some Louboutins..you do not event want to know what the total cost came to!, a whole variety of amazing vintage jewelry, menswear and designer sunglasses.Downstairs, was about 3 racks of vintage real fur coats and a rack of just coats (inc. A Burberry mac for only 100 euros! I would've got it, but it was wayyyy to big) There was also another huge shelf of designer shoes and jewelry, there were wedding dress and prom dresses hanging from the ceiling and through to the back was an amazing vintage furniture department.

Day two: We woke up quite early and went to have breakfast at a pavement cafe, the weather was wonderful and the food was yummy. After breakfast we went back to the hotel to get changed and walked to the Eiffel Tower, we caught a bus to Notre Dame, and saw some amazing sights on the way. We knew there were some vintage shops in the area, so walked round to find them. We firstly came across a huge department store, that seriously looked like an M&S, we then walked around some more until we came to this AMAZING vintage/designer store (pictured) It looked really tiny from the outside but then we walked in and every inch was covered in amazing vintage pieces. We spent a few hours in there and didn't even realize it had a downstairs til I almost fell down the stairs.. I would've bought so much stuff there, however, it was quite pricey and I didn't really have any room to take anything home, but i will definitely be going back!! I bought a gold ring for my sister, and this gorgeous sparkly bracelet (will post later) I was going to buy some gorgeous Versace heels, but they were slightly too small for me. I wish I'd taken photos in there, and of the owner, he was an amazingly gay, bald french bloke, with nail varnish covered glasses.

After this we walked around some more and bought some bread for lunch, we then went to this awesome eyewear shop that sold every designer sunglasses/glasses possible. I was going to buy some Marc Jacobs sunglasses or Balenciaga sunglasses, but I couldn't decide which ones, so thought i'd come back later (but then we couldn't remember where the shop was...)

After this, we went to afew little vintage/secondhand shops that were alot more reasonably priced..I got two (cliché) striped jumpers for just 5 euros each! In one shop there was another Burberry mac for only 80 euros, but it was also way to big for me.

We then got back on the bus to go back to our hotel, it took soo long and we were so tired/hot when we got back that we just layed in our room for an hour and had a shower. We then got a take away pizza and ate facing the Eiffel Tower again. We got talking to another (very drunk) guy, who was half english/half french, who lives in London.

We watched the Eiffel Tower light up again then went back to our hotel and had a shower. Just as I got out of the shower, Sophie shouted to me to not come into the main room, apparently there was a man on the other side of the street sitting on his balcony waving to her. But when I came in there was no one, so I didn't believe her. However, later on, i was looking out of our balcony/window and this guy was back again, so we waved back and forth and he started talking to us in french, it was hilarious!

Paris (Day one)

On Tuesday, me and a friend went to Paris for 3 days. I (as always) over packed, and probably could've stayed for 2 weeks with the amount of clothes I brought, however, it was around 30 degs everyday, so I couldn't wear half the stuff, so I guess it was good in the long run...?We had the most amazing time, and I wish we could've stayed longer (this is my only holiday this year!) Here's some photos..

Breakfast

we pretty much sat at the Eiffel Tower every evening

Day one: We didn't really have enough time to go anywhere, seeing as we got to our hotel at about 2:30 pm, so we stayed around that area and went to the local 'Franprix' supermarket, we bought lots and lots of french sweets (they have SMURF haribo?! amazing) and peaches and headed back to our room, we unpacked our stuff (mine, a huge suitcase and Sophie's, a tiny hand held bag, with about 4 items of clothing in!) and ate the sweets.
We then went to dinner and ate outside, which was beautiful. After dinner we went back and got changed and walked to the Eiffel Tower (it was literally round the corner and we could see it from our window) we sat facing it for a couple of hours and waited for it to get dark. We got chatted up by hilarious french guy who asked if we " 'ad a light?" and then sat down with us, we couldn't work out what he said his name was, so we named him Patrice. We chatted to him for a while about all of the many places he had lived and how he had studied English. After this it was quite late and we'd seen the Eiffel Tower light up, so we went back to the hotel to sleep...

I wore this in June, for mine and 2 of my friends birthday meal, I just never posted it... I didn't wear any accessories apart from this belt and afew rings (not pictured) as I thought this dress was enough of a statement on its own.I've had this shoes since feb/march (yes, the original suede Aldo ones!) and now every body's got the Bronx(?) leather ones...
I didn't really like this dress when I bought it, but I LOVE it now. It looks like a really big, ugly nightie when its on a hanger, but on it is really amazing I think (is it? maybe I'm crazy..)

I finally bought a decent overlocker, so now I can make sooo many more clothes! I had this white jersey and Cath Kidston flower material left over from when i bought it about a year/2 years ago, so I decided to make this little skirt, it's nothing special, but I think it could work nicely in my wardrobe.

Someone asked me if I got it in Topshop, so I said yes...(to have a bit of fun..) and she went out to look for it! ha ha (is that a compliment?)

I also bought this cute vintage PE t-shirt (my collection of vintage t-shirts is fast coming uncontrollable), from starzmm23which sells a whole variety of gorgeous vintage treats.

I cannot wait for them to arrive!

'So there was this woman and she was on an airplane, and she was flying to meet her fiancé seaming high above the largest ocean on planet earth. She was seated next to this man who she had tried to start conversations, but the only thing she had really heard him say was to order his Bloody Mary.

She was sitting there and she was reading this really arduous magazine article about a third world country that she couldn't even pronounce the name of. And she was feeling very bored and despondent. And then suddenly there was this huge mechanical failure..

..and one of the engines gave out, and they started just falling thirty-thousand feet. and the pilots on the microphone and he's saying, "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, og my god... I'm sorry" and apologizing.

Sorry for the lack of posts, SOMEBODY changed my password and I've only just managed to change it.

anyway, I took a trip to the capital on monday with too good friends. The main objective of the trip was to find my friend a 'Chuck Bass' inspired outfit (which we were successful in, and looked amazing! - will post soon), but ofcourse I couldn't not buy anything (even though I am seriously lacking in money).

Here's one of my finds...

I've been looking for a white and navy striped jumper for ages, but finnaly found one! In H&M mens. Yes, back to my trusty menswear...

I told you about the video project my friend was doing that I helped with a while back, but J has decided to make me an ad for the blog! She wants to go into something to do with movies/television so wants projects to improve her skills as she will be going to university next year..so she offered to do this and i agreed.

However, I will post the whole video when it is fully edited etc..

It is all based on shells and was done almost a year ago! but now has come the time to finish them.

'millymoomoo' Informed me that my first choice for 'The Perfect Shoe' (see 3 posts down) was not a very good one (in a not very nice fashion may I say..)... and showed me these Miu's...

They are nice, but, i dont really see anything special about them? and i'm not really a fan of the cork platform/heel.
